Beyond the Tabletop – 3D Virtual Tabletops
The frontier is always out there, not always easy to see, but definitely there and not imaginary. It lies just beyond the horizon and always leads to a fork in the road, who’s busy asking if you’ve seen his spoon anywhere. She’s with the can of beans and friends, but that’s a story for a different day. I like stories. Anyway. We are sure to get our own system up and running if necessity demands it, until then you can find us blazing new territory where one game overlaps another.
To be less fuzzy, we like to create games that barely exist yet, currently that means meshing a few genres and doing things differently. Not all ideas are winners and it’s hard to know which slap without getting to create, test and refine our labors of love. So give it a try, share your feedback and we can make an excellent game together.
Our lines are currently being blurred two different directions. In real life we are hoping to blur the line between a table top and a Live Action RPG, while mixing in some truly scary mid level bosses, like physical movement and human interaction. I know, it’s scary already and there’s not even a campfire to tell ghost stories around. Face your fear and roll the dice. If you’re not ready to juggle three dimensions, we don’t blame you. Find us at the following Virtual Table Tops until you’re ready to feed more pixels to the slaughter.
Where dice and pixels meet
There are several systems converging for maximum wow. Several virtual table top systems out there for you to choose from, and they are all really amazing. We are tying to be as present as possible, but we are also trying to test and refine other systems that are maybe a little closer to video games than your typical IRL tabletop experience.
Currently, we are testing a few programs that attempt to mesh our familiar table top RPG systems with web interfaces and video games. We aren’t able to share everything with you, but will will post what we can and hope you join us to blur the edges and make something amazing. All of our games are currently being adapted to play either on the table top, or in the digital dojo. Efforts are even underway to figure out how to fuse the two and create opportunities for the different worlds to interact.
Here is a list of the programs we are currently testing. Holler at us if you’re interested in helping or just giving it a go.
